Estimated job commission
300.00
- Eligible amount
- 2,500.00
- Commission at 10%
- 250.00
- Fixed bonus
- 50.00
2,500.00 × 10% + 50.00 = 300.00
This illustrates one percentage commission plus a fixed bonus. Cost-based amounts are floored at zero and the commission is rounded to two decimals before adding the bonus. It excludes wages, tax, overtime, tiers, splits, and clawbacks. Use your agreed compensation rules for actual payroll.

For a simple revenue-based plan, multiply the eligible job revenue by the commission rate, then add any fixed bonus. With example revenue of 2,500, a 10% rate, and a 50 bonus, the result is 300.
If the plan deducts 900 in job costs first, the eligible amount is 1,600. At the same example rate and bonus, the result is 210. The two answers differ because the commission bases differ.
Can I use this for plumbing jobs?
Yes. The arithmetic is the same for a simple percentage plan. Check which revenue and costs your shop includes before entering the amounts. This is a job commission estimate, not a take-home pay calculator.
